Marco Venniro, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurobiology and Associate Director of Education and Training at the Kahlert Institute for Addiction Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. His research focuses on the neurobiological mechanisms underlying addiction, social behavior, and motivated behavior. His laboratory investigates how social experiences influence drug use and relapse, with the broader goal of identifying mechanisms that can inform new approaches to the prevention and treatment of substance use disorders.
