The Department of Pharmacology & Physiology has a long and active history of training biomedical graduate students who have gone on to be leaders in academia and industry, most notably Dr. Julius Axelrod, 1970 recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Faculty with active research programs welcome students in their lab as integral members of their research teams. We have a PhD program in Pharmacology and Physiology.
